so i wanted to do a shout-out on here as well because i think the rings of power fandom has many many talented individuals! of course i will forget people and cannot tag everyone and this fandom is far too big but if you create things, know you are appreciated and you are so important to fandom <3333

let's start with gifs & graphics makers. i'm honestly impressed with the amount of edits some of you have made like damn, y'all productive 😂

@letthefairyinyoufly i loooove how sharp your gifs are, and your coloring is always SO pretty 😍 this is still my fave set of yours this year because i feel it's so different from your usual sets but it's soooo cool and creative!! dagor dagorath my beloved <3

@ceeyoutea i'm mostly amazed by how consistent you can color and it always looks good??? HOW? teach me your ways!! i love this set of yours, the quote is so perfect. but honestly all your saurondriel gifs are incredible.

@thequeensjester obviously gotta mention you because your graphics are out of this world gorgeous!!! the way you make the colors pop, your use of textures, your fontwork, etc. i can go on for a while. truly you're so talented!! choosing a fave is too difficult, i'm in love with everything you make.

@elena-gilbert yet another super talented creator! looove your coloring style so much. also love how you aren't afraid to try out different fonts, effects or transitions!! my fave set is this one i'm obsessed with the yellow and how it pops. the coloring is truly gorgeous and that glitch on the last gif is so cool. and the quote choice is obviously perfect for them <3

@celebrimborium of course had to mention you!! gorgeous coloring and creative sets. love the fonts you use as well. really tough to pick a fave but my heart goes out to this set because it's so cool and i'm a sucker for a good color + b&w contrast. that font is amazing too!! they're just lil creechers 😌

@cuthalions your coloring is soooooooo gorgeous, there's a softness to it that i love. all your sets are beautiful but i love this one in particular because the typography is incredible. the gifs are so sharp and just so nice to look at!!! and that middle gif with the incredible b&w and that quote has me on the floor. and love all your book inspired edits as well!

@rithe ohh the way i'm in love with your edits, the cropping is exquisite!!! and i love your coloring so much. my fave are your song edits tho, they're soooooo pretty to look at. (this one in particular) i'm in love with that font you use. and the caps you choose are SO fitting!! gah 😍

@rhaenyradaemons your coloring is SO pretty julia!!! it's got that muted softness i love (idk how to describe it, i'm tired haha) and they're nicely sharp and clean. just very pleasing to look at :D

@emziess i love your coloring so muchhhh. i think this one is my fave, i love the rich and warm yellow contrasting with the blueish tone on the first & last one. and they're so sharp and nice! beautiful work all around <3

my first post on this blog was made september 17th, 2024. that was not even 4 months ago!!! and it's crazy to think how much my life has changed. i've never actively participated in a fandom consistently before and i hadn't drawn in 6 years but now i'm drawing almost everyday and i have a bunch of mutuals/friends that i absolutely adore and love <3333 just wanted to take some time to send thanks to all these wonderful people who've made my time here in dbh so wonderful.

OKAY SO I JUST DECIDED TO FILL THE WHOLE THING OUT! I headcanon Peril as Intersex and nonbinary!! AND SAME FOR ME, they fall fight between “I know them” and “their lore is literally impacted by their transsexualism”!! Peril is a very Nonbinary character to me, the way she was raised to view things as very “black & white” and hosting a sense of little self autonomy— makes them finding a comfortable identity in a very “”in the middle”” gender compelling! Especially within the understanding of how Peril was raised and brought up in someone else’s vision, being able to find self-identity in that nature of breaking down the “black & white” structure that was forced on them through the act of finding identity in neutrality. I find the development of self-love extended through gender expression in that nature something that works well in-unison with Peril’s pre-existing themes! Especially in regards to the layered metaphors of the Necklace. As a nonbinary person myself - I found that to be a pinnacle moment of forced suppression of identity into something more “palatable” to the public perception - in this analysis that being the forcing of femininity onto a gnc aligning identity - speaking to the way many nonbinary identity’s are expected to lean “one direction or the other”. So that moment being involved in Perils story - and her breaking free of it and having a self-realization/control moment - very reflective of nonbinary/gender non conforming experiences !!

With that though - thats just my own interpretation and connection to those aspects of Peril’s characterization! I find her lore and themes within her character to speak to many universal experiences of identity that can be interpreted in a fluid way. Like I personally read it as a very compelling arc about non-conformity and applied my own experiences with gender expression onto it, but other interpretations/analyses are just as strong! Thats why I put this headcanon in the middle, because I find it connects heavily to their lore, but is similarly just an extension of it and not necessarily interwoven in-full. Its a lot of personal interpretation which is why the personable “I know them” also 100% fits my perception of transgenderism onto Peril <33

Also the Intersex headcanon is purely a me thing, I always thought Peril was intersex just like. Factually lmao (one of those “I somehow convinced myself this was canon and was surprised to learn it was not” moments lmao). The reason I included it as well is because within my headcanon I think Peril would similarly absorb her being intersex to a further extension of gender identity! Again, breaking down those “black & white” views that were forced on them through themself - literally! Notably being intersex does not inherently mean gender identity is going to be impacted as well, just for this headcanon I feel Peril’s relationship to their gender identity would be strongly impacted by them being intersex <3 !!

OKAY SORRY THIS GOT LONG BUT THIS WAS FUN TO WRITE! TWICE ! LMAO! I have lots of thoughts on these guys so feel free to ask any questions about the other characters if ya want!!! I have many thoughts lmao…

oh my gosh! thank you!! i really love character interactions and relationship dynamics, so i wanted to depict two girls who seemed like opposites - one cool and laid-back, the other soft and sweet. after a while they started to take on a life of their own, and i thought it'd be wonderful if their story could evoke the feeling of a shoujo romance!

i had a lot of things on my mind when i wrote the script... friendship, intimacy, communication... communication can be so hard! sometimes it's harder with someone you're close to because their opinion is so important to you. and what happens when you've got a character who's non-confrontational and has low self-esteem + someone who prefers actions over words, and would rather burn bridges than admit to feeling vulnerable? how would they get past that? i wanted to write their flaws as believable, and how their life experiences have shaped the way they think about themselves / the way they respond to personal conflict... but also how they learn from each other and grow ❤️ tysm for the question!!

thank you both so much!!!! <3 a sequel is actually one of the ideas i pitched for my second book! my editor cautioned against it in case IYHM didn't perform well, so i ended up going in a different direction - but my fingers are crossed for future opportunities 😤 realistically, it will probably depend on sales... but for the record, i'd want to do one regardless of the numbers...

i have one more book coming out, which i'm working on right now! the timeline is a bit up in the air atm but i'll try to keep everyone posted. making a book is so slow but i'm so grateful to you all for waiting 🥺💛

Your hands crept past his cheeks and into hair hair, where you grabbed a gentle fistful of it and tugged on it slightly. The second your lips parted, you sucked in a swift breath of air, your eyes cloudy from the loopy haze Chuuya had unknowingly put you in. Or maybe he did know. Maybe he knew and just liked to see it on your face. Those parted lips, the rise and fall of your chest through your wrinkled up shirt. "You alright there? Sounded like you were suffocating or somethin'." He asked, rubbing his hand acrossed the small of your back. Your heart was beating so fast, and your cheeks felt hot with fluster. Everything soon stabilized though, and you nodded. "Maybe when I kiss you I should keep my huffs and sighs to myself so I can actually breathe for a little longer." You laugh, twirling a lock of ginger hair around your finger. "Hey, you can't do that- what if I like hearing them?" He grins, his eyes flickering down towards your chest and shirt. Your own followed his gaze and you smirked. *Well, if you like to hear them so much, there's always other ways you can elicit them." You giggle, slowly pulling up the hem of your shirt in a teasing manner, only to quickly pull it back down. "Heyyy!" Chuuya huffs, but your cocky smirk stays put. "Oh quit your act, just come and kiss me again." You finally say, pulling him in again and resuming as you had before. Fact of the matter is, no matter how much you did or didn't tease him, Chuuyas need for you could never be cured, and with his addiction to you came an addiction to your beautiful lips.

Dazai Osamu

The cold skin of his palms cupped your cheeks as he pulled you in for a needy kiss after months away in mersault. The connection of your lips felt like that of two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly together- it was like you were made for eachother. Your brows were knitted together with relief upon finally having him back, safe in your arms. You knew he was more than capable of keeping himself in one piece, but you couldn't help but worry. He muttered, immediately pulling you back into another eager kiss. You hummed against his lips, a quiet "mhm". Your hands moved from his jawline to grab at his short brown locks of hair, twirling strands around your fingers every now and again. His nose brushed against yours and his eyelids squeezed shut, as if he were trying to engrain each grove and curve of your lips in his mind so he'd never have to miss it again. The second time you pulled away, it was for the both of you to take a breath, but you hardly really moved apart. He rested his forehead against yours and stabilized his heart rate before speaking. "I craved that more than anything while I was away." His voice was smooth and quiet, and through his thick eyelashes you could see him looking at you. You let out a small giggle to yourself and sighed shakily. "I know..me too." He hummed and pecked your lips once more. "I think we should head home and catch up on our other activities." You nod and grab his hand, already leading him to the car. "Yeah, it's been awhile since you've been home to watch all our shows together." He smiles and lets go of your hand to get into the passenger seat, and you start on the extensive ride home into the sunset, lover finally seated next to you.
